  1. Brilliant! I’m not sure that I’m quite clever enought to fully understand, being an Engineer. However, I think that we’ve all been there and I think, for most of us, we do learn to control the inputs (alcohol, nicotine, relationships etc.) and on terms that our body is comfortable with. In this way, by controlling the input, there is some control over the magnitude of the pain of the output, being retching or whatever else.
